The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Bella Swan is reunited with the love of her life (and vampire), Edward Cullen. Her life is back to the way it was before the Cullens left, except for one major thing. Before Edward left, Bella had not considered Jacob Black (werewolf) her best friend, and she is in vain trying to make Edward and Jacob make peace and be friends. She is torn between the love she feels for Edward and the strong friendship between her and Jacob. Can she make them see reason, and can they be good to each other to keep from hurting Bella? And there are new dangers lurking around the corners; Seattle is stalked by mass murderers beyond humanity. Who's behind this, and what connection does it have with Bella? Everyone sparkles.

• ROB VISITS A FANS HOUSE FOR THE OPRAH SHOW
Posted on 06 May 2010 by Michelle

I've added 4 Medium Quality photos of Rob visiting a fans house for the Oprah show on May 5th! Oprah was searching for the biggest Twilight fans, and those chosen got to see Eclipse early, and watch the taping of the show! One lucky fan and the rest of her family also got a surprise visit from Rob himself!

Maria, the fan who got to meet Rob, wrote the following:

Well….it all started with an email to the Oprah show. I just told her that the entire family were huge fans and if you came over and you were NOT a twilight fan then “YOUR NOT COMING”. Where? We didn’t know. We just said your not coming to anything with us unless you were a fan. They apparently loved that line. So Sunday night they called and said that the show was totally booked but there might be a slight chance that we can pre tape something with skype. Now…she said a very slim chance. They were calling thousands of people. She asked me to send pics of my family. So in order to get their attention I thought I would be a great idea to take pictures as the “Cullen Family”. I waited all day on Monday to hear from them to see if we would be doing the skype thingy. Just when I started to give up it was around 10:30pm and they called. THE TWILIGHT PICTURES DID THE TRICK. They were so amazed on how my son Giuseppe looked so much like Edward. They told me to expect a skype kit to pre-tape a very short segment around 8pm on Tuesday night. They told me a hundred times “Sorry the show is full & we couldn’t give you tickets.

So on Tuesday the skype kit came and I waited all day again for directions on how it was going to work. They called at 5pm and said we were going to do a practice run with skype and we would be live with oprah on the show in the morning. They told us do not dress up wear comfortable cloth because you will be moving furniture and it was just a test run. She actually told us to wear our pjs. At 8pm they called us on the skype cam to set everything up. We wasted about on hour just setting up the room. They kept telling me make sure all the blinds are close the camera is sensitive to light. (which now I know it’s because they didn’t want us to see him pull up.)

They were asking random questions really just filling in time until I saw a camera crew through the small window on my front door and the people on skype heard me and said “go open the door” Well….that was it we all lost it. Screaming like a bunch of maniacs. Rosanna was crying, Giuseppe was frozen and everyone else was jumping a screaming.

He stayed for about 10 minutes. Even though it felt like a week. And we just were all amazed that he was in our house. I told him me and Rosanna stalked him in NYC for the Remember Me premiere and he said “yeah I think I remember you” which was an obvious joke. I asked him is Kristen was here too and he said “well fine…I’ll just leave then”. Other things were said but I was in so much shock I cant remember. It is so weired. His lips were moving and I know he was talking but all I heard was wah wah wah. (kind of like snoopy and Charlie Brown). Then he told us we had tickets to the show. Again lots of screaming. He was great. So nice. Funny. And sooo tall. You was beautiful. I still cant believe it. So we went to the show and they had our names on our seats so we felt to privileged. Robert, Taylor, Kristen, & Dakota all sat and talked to oprah and then they showed the footage of him knocking on doors. He went to 3 homes in Naperville. We were the last ones. When he was leaving my house he said to the camera “I really want to stay and hang out at this house.”

It was amazing. We all got a certificate to order Bella’s engagement ring from eclispe. The audience got to see the movie while he made his visit to our house. It is something we will never forget. Oprah & Robert was great but hearing my kids say “thanks for making this happen”……absolutely priceless!!!

• BREAKING DAWN COMING IN 2011

This summer is going to be an exciting one for Twilight fans, as “Eclipse” hits theaters on June 30th. From there, it will be a big of a wait for “Breaking Dawn.”

According to a report, the Summit Entertainment peeps have set a November 18th, 2011 release date for the fourth installment.

Now that they’ve found a director, Bill Condon, for the project, producers are getting to work on the pre-production aspects of the sure-to-be blockbuster.

The first official images from Bel Ami starring Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Christina Ricci and Colm Meaney have been released and we’ve got them in high resolution after the jump. The film which also stars Philip Glenister and Holliday Grainger was shot on locations in and around London and Budapest during an eleven week shoot. Shooting wrapped on April 22nd.

Directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, the film is an erotically charged story of ambition, power and seduction. Georges Duroy (Robert Pattinson), travels through 1890s Paris, from cockroach ridden garrets to opulent salons, using his wits and powers of seduction to rise from poverty to wealth, from a prostitute’s embrace to passionate trysts with wealthy beauties, in a world where politics and media jostle for influence, where sex is power and celebrity an obsession.

Here’s some more info on the film and further down are the images:

Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) is Madeleine, Kristin Scott Thomas (Nowhere Boy) is Virginie, Christina Ricci (Monster) is Clotilde, Colm Meaney (The Damned United) is Rousset, Philip Glenister (Life on Mars) is Charles and Holliday Grainger (Scouting Book for Boys) is Suzanne.

The Director of Photography is Stefano Falivene (Carmel); Attila F. Kovacs (Sunshine) is Production Designer; Costumes are designed by Odile Dicks-Mireaux (An Education); Hair and Make-up is by Jenny Shircore (The Young Victoria) and the Editor is Masahiro Hirakubo (The Duchess).

• ROB'S INTERVIEW IN SKYVIEW MAGAZINE
Posted on 02 May 2010 by Michelle

Tyler’s character reminds us of James Dean, where you inspired by him?
Not necessarily. I think it’s a side that every person has. It’s true that this character has something very ‘Rebel without a cause’ about him, but there were other sides of Tyler that interested me, like his arrogant side. He tragically lost a family member and I think that his reverly and anger towards them it’s because he stopped being the center of attention. I tried to make these things very present when playing the character. There’s a big reason why the James Dean stereotype is still so present to this day, especially among young actors.

What was it like working with Pierce Brosnan? Obviously you guys had to work with certain tension between you. Did it interfere with your relationship with him?
Not at all. There was no real tension. He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I had no idea what to think of him in the beginning, but he’s very hardworking, and not pretencious at all. We didn’t have a lot off scenes together but he was very kind to me. It was wonderful.

The main characters in the movie seem to appreciate life very much, do you think there’s a lesson for the audience?
One of the things that I liked about the story is that neither of the main characters had the idea that love is supposed to last forever. They are both just enjoying the happy moments they are living, and they are very valuable to them, even if they’re very short moments.

And what makes you happy?
The little things that are not very common. What I tried to communicate in the movie is that there’s little things that in life that sneek up on you, and surprise you.

Are you trying to mark a difference between your character in Twilight and the characters that you’re doing now, so that people know you’re more than Edward Cullen?
No, I’m not focused in that. I’m still choosing my roles the same way I always did. At least I still think I do. There’s very few things that interest me, so it’s easy for me to choose what I’m going to do next. All the projects that I’ve chosen have been very different from each other. I’m going to play soon a guy that was raised by aboriginals, and all my dialogue is in comanche. Right now I’m doing Bel Ami, which is very ironic because all these women fall for this guy but he just wants to steal their money. I thought it was a fun contrast from Edward Cullen.

Because he’s such a romantic?
Yes, and he’s the total opposite of that. But it wasn’t intentional. I thought it was a very fun movie, and my role is very interesting. I had never done such a simple role, and by simpleI don’t mean shallow, I mean normal. He’s a relief in many ways.

Can you still have a normal life?
Only in London, where I go to low-key places. There’s so many places there that I can go to and nobody knows who I am. I’ve gone to a pub where the bartender tells me everytime she sees me how much I look like the guy in the Twilight movies. It’s funny because she tells me the same thing every single time. Fortunately, people aren’t thinking in movies all the time so if they see me in the streets they’er embarrassed to say anything. Fame has its good side. I’m not struggling to get work now, and I can go from one movie to the next. To be honest I have the best position that any actor my age would want.

• A NOTE FOR TWILIGHT FANS FROM BREAKING DAWN DIRECTOR, BILL CONDON
Posted on 02 May 2010 by Michelle

Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland,

I just want to say hello to all of you and let you know that I'm stoked to be getting underway on the adventure of making BREAKING DAWN. As you've probably heard, I've been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit - who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right.

I'm pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I've read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine's and Chris's movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine's notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz's companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk - a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for "newborn" status in the universe you've been living inside for a few years now, but a guy's gotta start somewhere.

Like many of you, I've always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid. But that alone hadn't been enough to get me interested in making a vampire movie, even though my early screenwriting and directing efforts grew out of a great love for horror movies and thrillers. Since making GODS AND MONSTERS thirteen years ago, however, I've been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones.

The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don't think it's difficult to see why. For me, her characters are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern. Rooted in a beautiful, real landscape with a great sense of place, Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Forks/La Push menagerie, experience emotions that are primal, and universal: desire, despair, jealousy - and it all comes to fruition in BREAKING DAWN. This is a final chapter in the best sense; not just wide in scope and scale, but emotionally charged and intense throughout.

I'm a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristen, Robert, and Taylor, and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys. Really, what could be more fun than that?

Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section below, and I'll do my best to answer them. I hope that this will be the first of many occasions I'll get to check in with you as we set to work bringing BREAKING DAWN to the screen. I am excited and grateful to have all of you alongside me for my TWILIGHT journey.

All best,

Bill Condon

P.S. Answer #1: No, there won't be any musical numbers

• DAVID DUCHOVNY WOULD 'GO GAY' FOR ROBERT PATTINSON
Posted on 02 May 2010 by Michelle

David Duchovny would "go gay" for the stars of 'Twilight'.

The 49-year-old star admits he has a "long list" of famous men he would consider changing his sexual preference for, with director Woody Allen and the stars of the vampire movie franchise, including Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner among those he admires.

David - who has two children with wife Tea Leoni - said: "If I were gay, you know. I think Woody Allen is one of a long list of men I might go gay for.

"Garry Shandling is someone I've publicly gone gay for, for jokes. Oh and anyone in the 'Twilight' movies. I don't know any of their names, but all of them. The wolves, the vampires? They're all fantastic."

David also revealed that one of his greatest pleasures is showering naked outside his house in Massachusetts.
He told Empire magazine: "I seriously hope no-one in Massachusetts reads this, but we have this outdoor shower and so I'm kinda naked and outside. I really enjoy taking an outdoor shower."

David also admitted he regularly uses his fame to get free goods.

He said: "Do I use my celebrity to get something for free? Hell yeah! Mostly sporting apparel. Oh and the courtside seats at basketball games are fantastic. It's a fantasy for someone like me, who grew up wanting to play basketball, to be down there."

• BETTY WHITE WANTS TO SEND ROB A THANK YOU NOTE
Posted on 30 Apr 2010 by Michelle

Golden Girl Betty White says she is too busy to do a nude scene with Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson who is 65 years her junior.

But the 88-year-old actress says she should write to the 23-year-old Brit for reportedly calling her the sexiest woman in the US.

'I should write him a thank you note,' White tells the New York Post.
When asked if she would do a nude scene with the heart-throb though, White squashed the idea.

'No, sorry. I wouldn't,' she says. 'There really isn't much spare time these days.'

• TIME'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE
Posted on 30 Apr 2010 by Michelle

Written by Chris Weitz
I have to be careful about what I write here because it will be tweeted the moment TIME hits the stands. And if I say something bad about Rob Pattinson, I'm dead meat. That's the devotion the Twilight films inspire. It's certainly not how he planned it. And though I am continually impressed by the aplomb with which he handles the hysteria, I occasionally think he would take it all back if given the chance. Because essentially, Rob, 23, is a reserved, bookish sort of specimen, a guy who'd rather spend the night at the corner table in the pub with friends — a bit of a weirdo, frankly, in the best sense.

So how to write about someone who seems to answer Freud's rhetorical question, What do women want? Perhaps it's just worth pointing out that it'd be fun to have a beer with him even if he weren't Edward Cullen. That we haven't seen a tenth of what he can do onscreen. And that important things, beyond the veil of Hollywood, occupy his time too — music, conversation, ideas, a sense of the absurd. Which, maybe, explains why he never gets to my e-mails. I love you, Rob! Call me!

Weitz directed The Twilight Saga: New Moon
