She is torn between the love she feels for Edward and the strong friendship between her and Jacob. Can she make them see reason, and can they be good to each other to keep from hurting Bella? And there are new dangers lurking around the corners; Seattle is stalked by mass murderers beyond humanity. Who's behind this, and what connection does it have with Bella? Everyone sparkles.

• ROB PATTINSON LIKES PLAYING WEIRDOS
Posted on 27 Nov 2009 by Michelle

Robert Pattinson has no interest in doing a blockbuster action movie, and is most content portraying ‘weirdos’ in independent films.

The British actor, who has become a huge star since landing the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the hugely successful Twilight franchise, says that he loves taking on unorthodox roles because he can then blame any criticisms of his performance on the character’s personality.

“There’s no point (doing an action blockbuster) – I mean, I don’t have any material desires at all. I wear the same clothes every single day. I don’t buy anything. And I don’t go out anymore either,” the Daily Express quoted him as telling Vanity Fair magazine.

“(When you play a weirdo), you can always have an excuse… ‘He’s a weirdo,’” he added.

• ROB INSISTS ON STAYING IN LUXURY HOTELS
Posted on 27 Nov 2009 by Michelle

Twilight star Robert Pattinson insists that the best part of being famous is the luxury hotels he stays in. The British actor - who plays Edward Cullen in the vampire franchise - said that he struggles to find any advantages to being famous - except for getting to stay in nice hotels.

Buzz up!"You''re staying in fancy hotels with incredibly nice bathrooms. This is the best thing I can say about it,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying."Everything else I can live without. Of course I am delighted that the ''Twilight'' series is so successful. But the cult of personality that is around me and Kristen is a bit frightening," he added.

• ROB TALKS ABOUT ECLIPSE
Posted on 27 Nov 2009 by Michelle

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been in cinemas for almost a week. So, depending on your feelings towards sparkly vampires and extremely buff werewolves, you will either have seen it three times already (ZOMG RPattz!) or avoided it altogether. Either way, the fandemonium has subsided enough for us to look to the future. It's just seven months until Eclipse, the third instalment of Stephenie Meyer's popular book series, hits the big screen. RT caught up with the cast in LA's Four Seasons hotel during their manic New Moon press tour to get the latest on the eagerly anticipated film. We learned that Robert Pattinson hates pranks, that Nikki Reed loves werewolves and that we may just see a fifth film. Read on to find out more...

Fact #1: It's Darker

The brand new poster for Eclipse (above) hints at a darker tone with its brooding storm clouds. With 30 Days of Night director David Slade at the helm, it's unsurprising. "Every movie is different because we work with a different director on each one, which I love," Taylor Lautner tells RT. "David Slade is perfect for the third film because it's darker. Eclipse was my favourite book."

Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice, tells RT that Slade isn't just a prince of darkness. "David is actually hysterical," she laughs, "He has such a dry sense of humour that sometimes you don't know if he's kidding or not. Eclipse will be amazing because he has made it far edgier and more dramatic. It's going to look very cool."

Fact #2: There Will Be Less "Love Story" and More "War"

"Eclipse isn't as intimate as Twilight or New Moon," Robert Pattinson explains to us. "We're at war, so I get to interact with more characters, not just Kristen. You'll also find out more about the other members of the Cullen family. It just feels bigger." But -- fear not, Twihards -- that isn't to say the love story is cast aside altogether. "New Moon set up a love triangle with Bella, Edward and Jacob," says Lautner. "So we explore that further in Eclipse. It's a tough situation for all of them because Bella is torn between two guys, Jacob can't get the girl that he loves and then there's Edward, with all of his issues."

Fact #3: The Werewolves Will Crank Up the Sex Appeal

"We all know the appeal of the vampire family," says Nikki Reed, who plays vampire Rosalie. "But the werewolf boys are on a whole different level. They interact with a youthful, playful, comfortable warmth. It's very sexy."

As for Pattinson, he admits that his personal jealousy about Taylor Lautner's newly-ripped physique actually comes in handy for the role. "In Eclipse, Taylor and I have lots of scenes together where we have to be jealous and petty with each other," he says. "So it helps that I actually do feel inadequate when I see his body, especially because he's younger than me. He fulfills every criteria of what teenage girls want, physically, in a guy. I felt like a had to prove myself against him."

Fact #4: There's More Action

"Filming Eclipse actually changed my life," says Nikki Reed of the arduous training regime the cast had to endure. "I have never been so fit -- this is the first time in my life I have actually had a bicep. It's bizarre to compare how we look now to how we all looked in the first movie. The entire cast turned up on set for Eclipse looking super-buff."

New cast member Bryce Dallas Howard tried to play a prank on the crew during one stunt, but she didn't count on Pattinson's awkwardness. "We had a fight scene where Bryce had to grab my hair," he laughs. "So she took a clump of hair from my stunt double's wig and was going to pretend she had pulled it from my head. She told me to scream and storm off set, but it was so embarrassing. She had this huge clump of hair in her hand, and I was like 'oww,' really unconvincingly."

While the rest of the cast were having fun with stunts, spare a thought for poor Taylor Lautner. "Eclipse is a lot more physical for my character," he explains, "but any time I have any kind of action, I'm a wolf, so it's all done with CGI. It's a bummer."

Fact #5: The Ending Will Be Nicely Set Up For a Fourth - And Perhaps Fifth - Film

There are four books in The Twilight Saga: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. But Ashley Greene gave RT the strongest indication yet that there might be five films. "We have finished filming Eclipse and one would assume that, if New Moon does as well as Twilight, then we'll start filming Breaking Dawn next year," she says.

"The only thing is, Breaking Dawn is a very large book so it would be a really long movie. We're thinking they might decide to split it into two parts, like they did with Harry Potter. Either way, we need to get on with shooting them because, unlike Harry Potter, vampires don't age. So we all need to look the same!"

• WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE NEW MOON CAST?
Posted on 27 Nov 2009 by Michelle

The Twilight Saga: New Moon made an astounding $140.7 million in box office earnings over the weekend, and the film's young cast is no doubt celebrating – but they're hardly taking a breather. A guide to what's next for the series and its stars:

• What's up with Kristen Stewart's next movie?
The actress otherwise known as Bella, 19, has been busy with non-Twilight projects. She stars as (another!) troubled teen in the New Orleans-set drama The Yellow Handkerchief, due Feb. 12. And she'll also appear in Welcome to the Rileys, a drama in which she plays a lap dancer, as well as the Joan Jett biopic The Runaways, headlining as the famed rocker alongside her New Moon costar Dakota Fanning.

• Where's the best place for fans looking to get their Team Edward and Team Jacob fixes?
New Moon audiences got a sneak peek of Robert Pattinson's next film, Remember Me, which opens March 12. (He plays a wayward college student opposite Lost's Emilie de Ravin.) And Twilight's Edward, 23, is attached to two other upcoming projects: Unbound Captives, a western costarring Hugh Jackman, and Bel Ami, a drama about an ambitious journalist who becomes involved with a Paris socialite, played by Uma Thurman). As for a certain sexy werewolf, Taylor Lautner, 17, appears (minus the fur and fangs but with his real-life sweetie Taylor Swift!) in the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day, opening Feb. 12.

• Are the sparks still flying between Kristen and Rob?
Yes! The super-stealthy pair were spotted dining together over the weekend.

• What's the dirt on Eclipse and Breaking Dawn?
Eclipse, the third film in the Twilight saga – due for release June 30, 2010 – focuses on a reunited Bella and Edward as they battle vengeful vampire Victoria. (Bryce Dallas Howard, taking over the role from Rachelle Lefevre.) As for the series' final installment, rumors have swirled that Breaking Dawn, which tackles more adult themes than the first three Twilight books, will be divided into two films. (A similar strategy is being used for the seventh and last Harry Potter book.) But Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the Twilight franchise, tells PEOPLE that any information on Breaking Dawn is "premature."

• MOVIEFONE TALKS ABOUT 'REMEMBER ME'
Posted on 24 Nov 2009 by Michelle

Robert Pattinson's next non-vampire movie doesn't open for another four months but that didn't stop Summit Entertainment from riding on 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' buzz and releasing the trailer for his romantic drama 'Remember Me' a few days before the Nov. 20 release of the latest big screen offering from Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series.

The British heartthrob puts his charisma and good looks to use as a brooding, misunderstood rebel without much of a cause except to reconnect with his distant father (Pierce Brosnan) following a family tragedy, and, of course, to get the girl.

A sort of stylized modern update of 'Romeo & Juliet,' 'Remember Me' centers around Tyler (Pattinson) and Ally (played by 'Lost's' Emile de Ravin), two lost souls who try to heal their inner turmoil by delving into a wild and ready romance that's threatened by their respective domineering parents.

It's interesting to see Pattinson attempt to break away from his iconic 'Twilight' role by charging into a gritty, character-driven drama that looks to rely more on raw acting talent and explosive emotional scenes than it does special effects and morphing demons. However, the story's setups of doomed romance, family conflict and the fight for personal redemption is reminiscent of 'Twilight' -- and the fact that he's donned in flannel and leaves his trademark tresses perfectly sculpted ala Edward Cullen doesn't deter the comparison merely because he's mortal this time around.

What makes 'Remember Me' stand out on its own is the dramatic and stylish storytelling of director Allen Coulter, who has helmed episodes of 'The Sopranos' and 'Sex and the City' and clearly knows how to bring out the best in his cast. The various scenes showcasing Pattinson, de Ravin, Brosnan and Chris Cooper (as Ally's dad), prove it. The intensity of acting in the trailer, which features Pattinson effortlessly covering a variety of emotions, defines an actor coming of age whether Twihards are ready for it or not.

'Remember Me' comes across as a mature romantic drama that seems safe and simple enough for Pattinson's young fan base to embrace as their tastes mature along with their moviegoing discretion. And if not, they can always grab their 'Twilight' trinkets and get in line now for the June 30, 2010 premiere of 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.'

• ROB DISCUSSES ECLIPSE
Posted on 24 Nov 2009 by Michelle

Even thought Twilight: New Moon has only just arrived in cinemas around the world, the third film in the cinematic saga, Eclipse, has already finished its shoot. Under the stewardship of 30 Days Of Night director David Slade, cameras were packed up a few weeks ago, and the film is already in post-production.

And, if you believe the bits and pieces coming out about the film, it's set to be just a little bit different from New Moon. After all, star Robert Pattinson has been reportedly suggesting that the film might actually push towards an R rating, as opposed to the PG-13 of New Moon.

We don't actually believe that's going to be the case, though, as Summit Entertainment will have a firm eye on the potential box office returns for the film, and if it puts a PG-13-rated cut of the film out in cinemas, then that's simply going to make more money. Considering, too, the large number of teenage girls who have been flocking to the movies over the past weekend, it's going to be keen not to cut off one of its core audience segments.

However, dig into what Pattinson actually said, and it's clear it was just speculation on his work. He was talking to SiTV when he made his comments, saying that "I don't know what rating Twilight was in England, like the American PG-13 or 18. I think it's pushing it to the absolute limit. It would be so funny if it was R-rated."

He did also note, though, that "It's a massively different movie to New Moon. There's so many more main parts, and having these huge battle sequences, I've never done anything like it in any of the other movies." Contrasting with that, Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, has spoken to MTV News about the greater amount of comedy in Eclipse.

Elsewhere, a photo of Twilight: Eclipse has also been released, but given that it features Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart looking at each other, it could have arguably come from any of the movies or promotional shoots that the pair have done together over the last couple of years.

The film is due out on June 30, 2010. If it's R rated, we will all get Twilight tattoos done.

• ROB TO BE ON NEW MOON COMMENTARY DVD
Posted on 24 Nov 2009 by Michelle

After this weekend's record-shattering opening, "New Moon" is now officially the biggest film of 2009. In a few months, it will inevitably become one of the biggest DVD releases of 2010. So what can we expect from the "New Moon" DVD? Recently, we caught up with director Chris Weitz and got the scoop on the disc you'll soon want sitting next to "Twilight" on your shelf.

"There will be a commentary track," Weitz revealed, saying that he'll soon head into the recording booth with his three big stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. "It'll just be us riffing off each other in our intimate way," he grinned. "We kind of like each other, so that should be fun."

In addition, fans can look forward to picking up a copy of "Twilight in Forks," the independently made documentary that teased fans with brief glimpses of its exploration into the real-life town that inspired Stephenie Meyer, only to be snatched up by Summit in September. An insider told MTV recently that the film will not be re-edited but will hit DVD alongside "New Moon" with all-new packaging and artwork.

Judging by the insatiable appetite of Twilighters, they'll be filling DVD stores in the first quarter of 2010, eager to glimpse the deleted scenes Weitz plans to unveil for the first time.

"There will be probably about 20 minutes of deleted material," he explained, promising some meaty footage. "It really is good stuff and a bonus for the fans."

Among this bonus footage could be several moments MTV knows were shot but did not make the final "New Moon" cut, including:

» A scene with Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria driving to Forks in a car, snacking on a dead human. It was one of the final moments the actress filmed as the nomadic vampire.
» A scene with the human characters eating Burger King.
» Another scene with the humans, this time with Justin Chon and Michael Welch expressing jealousy over Edward's car.
» More scenes with the Volturi in Italy.
» An extended cut of the scene where Mike Newton quotes Shakespeare to Bella in the Forks High parking lot; in it, he does a Marlon Brando impersonation.
» Scenes alluding to the ongoing breakup between Newton and Anna Kendrick's Jessica.

"When I made the film, I wanted it to arrive at a certain kind of flow and cadence," Weitz said of why he had to leave so many scenes on the cutting-room floor but hopes to restore many for the DVD. "[They would have affected] how the movie worked, and they didn't completely fit. But there'll be some groovy stuff in [the DVD]."
