The film gave him instant stardom, and the second installment in the Twilight Saga was recently released into theatres. Currently, Rob is currently in London, filming his movie, Bel Ami. Remember Me has made close to $45 Million Wordwide, and will be released on DVD on June 20th 2010. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is in theatres on June 30th, 2010.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Bella Swan is reunited with the love of her life (and vampire), Edward Cullen. Her life is back to the way it was before the Cullens left, except for one major thing. Before Edward left, Bella had not considered Jacob Black (werewolf) her best friend, and she is in vain trying to make Edward and Jacob make peace and be friends. She is torn between the love she feels for Edward and the strong friendship between her and Jacob. Can she make them see reason, and can they be good to each other to keep from hurting Bella? And there are new dangers lurking around the corners; Seattle is stalked by mass murderers beyond humanity. Who's behind this, and what connection does it have with Bella? Everyone sparkles.

• NICOLE KIDMAN SAYS ROB IS 'A REALLY FINE ACTOR'
Posted on 16 Nov 2009 by Michelle

While Nicole Kidman had been rumored to star alongside "New Moon" heartthrob Robert Pattinson in the upcoming flick "Bel Ami," it was later announced that the Oscar-winning actress would not be involved after all.

Kidman recently told MTV News that the two were in talks to star together in the film about journalist Georges Duroy (Pattinson) and his rise to the top of Parisian high society in the 1890s. Kidman would have played Madeline Forestier, Duroy's onetime mentor.

"I was [in talks for it], and we couldn't work out the dates," Kidman said.

Just because she hasn't acted alongside Pattinson yet doesn't mean she hasn't checked out his previous work. "He's great," she said, adding that she had seen "Twilight." "I haven't seen the new one ['New Moon']."

The actress said Pattinson has that something special and foresees a long career for him in Hollywood, so maybe their paths could cross on a movie set one day. "I think he's a really fine actor, actually, because he wants to be great," she said. "He's working with the right people."

Although no female lead has been cast for "Bel Ami," Pattinson said in May the actress who will take on the role "needs to be literally inspirational." And speaking of inspirational women, Pattinson described Jenny Lumet, who wrote the screenplay, as "a genius," saying that her script really connected with him.

"Bel Ami" is scheduled to start shooting in Paris next year. Pattinson managed to draw some parallels between his character in "Bel Ami" and Edward Cullen from "Twilight," saying, "They're both about commitment."

• THE EVOLUTION OF ROBERT PATTINSON
Posted on 16 Nov 2009 by Michelle

It’s taken a little over a year for Robert Pattinson to be considered a staple heartthrob worldwide. With the crazy success of the “Twilight” book series came the crazy success of the first film, catapulting its stars into instant, albeit unbidden, fame. Though he’s on the road now promoting “New Moon” (out this week!), we figured we would take some time to look at the evolution of Robert Pattinson.

Born on May 13, 1986 in London, England, the hunk started out his career rather appropriately by following in his mother’s modeling footsteps at age 12. Ironically, he would later come out and explain that the reason this stint in the fashion world lasted only four years was because he was tall and feminine and it was at a time where “the androgynous look was cool.” Once he started looking more like masculine man we have grown to know and love, the job pool dried up.

When he was 15, he began dabbling in the theater arts, getting his start through the Barnes Theatre Company. At a production of “Tess of the D’Urbervilles,” he caught the attention of an acting agent. He landed some more roles in theater before getting his start on film in 2004 at age 18.

His first roles were a minor part in the made-for-TV film “Ring of the Nibelungs” and the character of Older Rawdy Crawley which was cut from the final edition of 2004's “Vanity Fair."

It was in 2005 when Robert broke out onto the scene as the character Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” As the fourth installment of the popular novel-to-film series, Robert played the good-hearted, handsome competitor to Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter. It set the stage for when, four years later, the same filmgoing audience got to see him again as the similarly handsome Edward Cullen in 2008’s “Twilight.”

In the time between “Goblet of Fire” and “Twilight,” Robert had filmed a few more made-for-TV films and in 2008 made two feature length films that are now hitting American shores called “How to Be” and “Little Ashes.”

Robert got to show off his musical skills by recording three songs for the soundtrack of “How To Be” and two for the soundtrack of “Twilight.” Director Catherine Hardwicke had to trick Robert into letting the songs be included in the feature film by showing him a final cut of the movie and then explaining why it was important for the songs to be included. However, he said he does not record music and prefers to just perform at venues.

He has won the Best Actor award at the Strasbourg Film festival for his role in “How To Be” and was named British Star of Tomorrow in 2005 by the United Kingdom’s The Times. But most of the awards he has won in his career were in 2008 and somewhere along the lines of the “hottest” this or “sexiest” that. He also won plenty of accolades (like Best Kiss, Best Fight and Best Actor) at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards.

With “New Moon” about to be released, “Eclipse” in the editing room and about a year until “Breaking Dawn” begins shooting, Robert has the time to expand his filmography with the indie hits he has professed he prefers starring in. He has already finished the film “Remember Me,” set to his theaters in 2010, and is working on the films “Unbound Captives” and “Bel Ami.” If one thing’s for sure, the stars have aligned for Robert Pattinson to do whatever it is he wants to do.

• NEW MOON FANS ALREADY IN LINE FOR PREMIERE
Posted on 16 Nov 2009 by Michelle

Fans hoping to get a glimpse of the "New Moon" cast on premiere-night Monday were camping out on the sidewalks of Westwood today, some arriving two days ago to be a part of the latest installment in the "Twilight" vampire saga.

Alison Genet, 35, who drove from Gilbert, Ariz., was first in line, having arrived Thursday at about 8:30 a.m.

"I couldn't get here fast enough," said Genet, who runs the social networking site www.twifans.com. "I want to be front and center when Monday comes around."

She isn't the only one. Hundreds of fans were camped along Le Conte Avenue at Broxton. Take a right and they're down Westwood too. A left at Weyburn Avenue reveals even more "Twi-hards."
And they came prepared.

There are cots with blankets of Edward Cullen, the franchise's dreamboat vampire. Posters with heartfelt dedications like "Suck my blood, Edward" and "RPattz doesn't bowl strikes, he knocks 1 pin down & the other 9 faint." "Twilight" umbrellas provide shade. The latest issue of Vanity Fair, featuring cover boy Robert Pattinson, are in ample supply. And cardboard cut-outs of Edward and Jacob — for fans to take pictures with — stood at the front of the line.

The entire cast is expected to be on hand with star arrivals likely to start between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Monday. The "New Moon" premiere party is scheduled to take place at 9 p.m., at Lindbrook Drive and Glendon Avenue, also in Westwood Village.

And the tweets from far away Twi-hards are already buzzing with jealousy. "only_exception" writes: im so jealous i would totally camp out for 4 days if i didnt live all the way in chicago!...." "Sivanwe" tweeted "That's crazy-but I wish I was there." Summit Entertainment is hoping to continue to ride the teen vampire phenomenon and match the success of the first film, which grossed more than $385.5 million worldwide.
